EXISTENTIAL BUMMER:

click>>  SHOTS OF AWE* " Yo u look up at the sky, do you see a lovely arrangement of clouds, or do you have a flash of the earth as a planet with an atmosphere, a little inconsequential planet floating in a dark vastness . . . ?! And if the latter, for how long can you hold that perception? In my experience few people can live close to death, but that's frequently where great art comes from. But those who always see not lovely clouds but earth with an atmosphere are usually heavily into drink or something, shopping, because the embrace of our actual condition is unbearable even for those strong enough to live close to the idea. . . CRUEL UNFAIRNESS OBSERVED... FROM THIS SIDE

-The way to stop discrimination on the basis of disability is to stop discriminating on the basis of disability- It is very interesting how things work... I am fully-qualified to be an Elementary School Teacher. I have successfully completed all of my NYS teaching certification exams, all pertinent Childhood Education courses and studies, all relevant workshops/training, appropriate NYS fingerprinting, student teaching and participant observer hours in classroom settings. I have worked directly with many Elementary students—analyzing their performance, adjusting lesson plans to best accommodate their learning needs, recording their progression, and implementing guided reading and classroom discussions. I have gotten excellent grades and education-related assessment feedback which proves my high teaching qualifications. I have had many professional advisors/mentors/supervisors, [who have had many years experiences involved in the Education field [teaching or administration] advis...

CONTROL...FROM THIS SIDE.

“ Lying there in the dark with the uncanny taste of a peach from some phantom orchard fading in his mouth. He thought if he lived long enough the world at last would all be lost. Like the dying world the newly blind inhabit, all of it slowly fading from memory.” - Cormac McCarthy So if you’re born with a disability or a mobility/intellectual impairment of some sort, you actually don’t know what it’s really like to be able to walk, to be able to write, talk, hear, or see. So if you really think about it, in a strange way, it’s somewhat better that way because you don’t have the disheartening feeling of having lost something. Unfortunately, I do. When I was younger, I was everything a “normal” child was—running, jumping, dancing, playing. Now I’ve lost that. Now I’m in a wheelchair. Now I’m experiencing living/“inhabiting” in a new world. I’ve been living in this new world for so long now, that what used to be is like Cormac McCarthy’s “dying world” to me and what it used to be ...

CHECK OUT THESE AWESOME PROFESSORS/ADVISORS/TEACHERS WHO HAVE RECOMMENDED ME TO PURSUE MY CAREER AS A TEACHER

ADELPHI UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF EDUCATION MICHAEL O’LOUGHLIN Ph.D. PROFESSOR T  516.877.4108 F  516.877.4097 July 7, 2017 I am pleased to write this recommendation for Lije Purellku. Lije is a very vibrant person with a distinctive and engaging personality. She took my Classroom Management course just before graduation with her masters degree. My course requires intensive writing, role plays, class participation, and collaborative work, as well as field work in classrooms during student teaching. Lije excelled in all respects. Her written work was carefully thought out and conscientiously completed.  She holds a deeply student-centered and caring approach to teaching. She has a questioning spirit and a belief that children should be provided with opportunities to experience and develop their creativity. Lije’s belief in inclusive education is not a mere abstraction but emerges from her own experiences with a mobility impairment. Lije’s...
